I originally wrote this about a medication side effect that causes me to have tremors. But I also noticed I could reconceive the piece to reflect the dramatic changes in our world due to the pandemic. With everything being canceled or moved online because of the virus, our world has had to find new ways of doing things. I like to think nothing bad can happen, but the pandemic is a reminder to enjoy every moment - saying “love you” to the ones we love whenever we can - because we have no idea what could happen.

In this piece, I created musical “tremors” using microtones, glissandos, and other techniques. Waves of tremors widen until the end when the width becomes octaves and is played with glissandos on the piano. The piece ends with a picardy third to show some momentary hope and uncertainty for the future.
